ALWAYS TRY OUT THE BED AT THE STORE BEFORE YOU BUY IT. (simple rules for most, but very complicated for me)
i've learned my lesson the hard way. after months of a futon, i figured any cheap bed would be good enough. i was suckered into the columbus day sale for the simmons burma mattress (675 boxspring and mattress). which after it was delivered did i find out that it was 300 spring count, worse than a college dorm room bed. "a summer camp bunk bed" as someone described it. u could sit on it...and the top of the mattress would squish down to the bottom which was probably the exact height as the spring. i did sleep great the first 3 days. because anything was better than that god forsakened futon. (which sits so perfectly in the living room). so i had to upgrade. i went to the store. i paid a comfort exchange fee. got the simmons beauty rest hamlet firm. and went from a full to a queen. for an extra 900++. now its time to splurge on bedding. im gonna throw a party on my bed when its all complete.
