meet spongebob...OMYGAWDITSWILL

ever bust on someone soo hard everything you said gave you face cramps for laughing so hard?  ever make fun of random people on the street?  WHAT ARE THEY WEARING? what is that f'ing smell?....do racial comments get the party started for you?  fat chicks just can't do anything right?

well...this probably means that you're one step above everyone else on the happy chain....it seems pretty obvious that laughing is a good meter for happiness....but how about being nasty?  is its byproduct laughter and happiness?....hahah...apparently so.

In last month's issue of Psych Science, Researchers found that angry people are more likely to make negative evaluations when judging members of other social groups. That, perhaps, will not come as a great surprise. But the same seems to be true of happy people, the researchers noted. The happier your mood, the more liable you are to make bigoted judgments -- like deciding that someone is guilty of a crime simply because he's a member of a minority group. Why? Nobody's sure. One interesting hypothesis, though, is that happy people have an ''everything is fine'' attitude that reduces the motivation for analytical thought. So they fall back on stereotypes -- including malicious ones.

The news that a little evil lurks inside happiness is disquieting.

HAHAHAHa...awesome...GOOD TIMES ARE JUSTIFIED.  ROCK ON!

Our generation has been lucky enough to grow up into the 2nd wave of a technology fury.  Moving into the mid 80's, people no longer revelled at the newest breakthroughs in science application to common convenience.  Maybe this happened even a few decades earlier, where technology was developing rapidly enough for people to not be phased by the smaller, newer and better things that came out.

Just a couple of decades ago, people stood in awe of space travel.  Its hardly heard about today.  The public is only concerned with space when satellites are related to faulty cell phones.  The combination of everyday commercial flight along with Nasa disbanding the moon flight, the idea of "flying" has no longer captivated the average joe's creative hypothalamus.  Today, personal entrepreneurs, (correction - private billionaires) finance their own competetive contests to one day popularize space tourism.  Government funded space exploits are increasingly computerized giving the public no "news at 6" scurry to latch on to.

clinton new book is supposed to suck nuts?o:p>

In many ways, the book is a mirror of Mr. Clinton's presidency: lack of discipline leading to squandered opportunities; high expectations, undermined by self-indulgence and scattered concentration.

In fact, "My Life" reads like a messy pastiche of everything that Mr. Clinton ever remembered and wanted to set down in print; he even describes the time he got up at 4 a.m. to watch the inaugural ceremonies for Nigeria's new president on TV

People are just so enamored with celebrity status that theyl find anyway to delve into and embrace a stars life regardless of its mundane nature.  In Bill case, it proves to be even a worse scenario, as people of political stature should demonstrate intellectual prowess, which this book doesn seem to have.  Let me read it and Il contrast it alongside Hillary book, which was boring somewhat boring.

**

i've started writing my book - what a better place to write than typing away at work plus it doubles as a way to look super busy!  hahahaha....not really sure where this book is going, but like all writers, you write of what you know...write of your life...and well...lets just say that a whole chapter has been devoted to hangovers...this will take a few years to finish but i'll post chapters from time to time...and to think...i used to hate english.

=)

Haven been posting too much as of late, why?  Cuz for the past week Ie been severely mother fng hungover like a biznitch mom and a half?gawd?brain works at 80% capacity @ max?but because I either doing nothing or close to it say I run the neurons at 2% workload?really, a painful experience but oh so joyful as I look back in retrospect....

last night:

It seems as though all shows I attend may be portrayed as this riveting and mesmerizing event. It is.  I let it be.  Live shows are just flat out awesome.  Redundant of previous post-concert blogs, my urge to write of being inspired has become instinctual.  But this blog has succumbed past the post-concert 12-hour window, allowing the impulse to be cornered and ridiculed.  What is it about me posting of musical inspiration?  Being in awe of people on stage performing ood?songs?  And to repeatedly feel moved after these ticketmaster events?

Honestly, I give myself 2 thumbs down.  What a Lame-O.  To be inspired is to actually do something about that aspect of oneself.  Il go home and toy around with the geetar only to pass out and post about it the next day like Ie really taken leaps forward.  The songwriting has gone nowhere, in fact the musical output has dwindled to usage only for shits and giggles (la bamba was the most recent song I played).  Instead of pushing for deeper personal meaning at shows, Il just stick with face value commentary.

Tshirt Mania ?I am the tshirt man.  Sometime last year, I had an epiphany about buying tshirts at concerts.  A MUST DO.  Buying the t-shirt before the show starts is the way to go, avoiding the crowd at the endlthough, if it a band that you haven heard live yet and they suckhen u won feel so hot about buying the t-shirt after the show?ex. Saves the Day.  Needless to say, last night I bought my tshirt before the show and the show rocked.

Glen Phillips ?lead singer of toad ?put on a great opening act. One man with a guitar, a voice like Garth Brooks, and his songs tell stories like Granddaddy, songs sound like ?ugh can think of any comparison.   Windmills, drive by?GO DOWNLOAD!  When these grungy fella are on stage I just thinking what it be like to be a 24 hour musician, being able to churn out tunes at every instancees I jealous.

Five for Fighting ?always a reason the main act is the main act.  A good opening act, but an awesome headliner.  The lead singer, john somethingis talent is so enviously evident as soon as he lets that first line out.  He got this voice that just resonates through the whole room.  Kind of like when he opens his mouthomething from within his body just lets this glow of light out of his mouth radiating the hall?not only that, he sings-plays guitar-piano completely effortlessly.  Timberlake falsetta got nothing on him.   If only Irving had a grand piano...the acoustics would have been awesome...he played superman alone...toite.  I definitely go see him again. (clara ?he talks between songs, ALL YOU)

**I can get 2 songs out of my head**

1)

Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit lonely and you're never coming round
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit terrified and then I see Foookin' the look in your eyes
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and then I fall apart
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and then I fall apart

And I Foookin'need you now tonight
...I Foookin' need you more than ever!!

MOCKING BIRD HAVE YOU HEARD

SHE GONNA BUY YOU A MOCKING BIRD (mocking bird)

AND IF THAT MOCKING BIRD DON SING (don sing)

SHE GONNA BUY YOU A DIAMOND RING (diamond ring)

to impress is not always on my list of priorities...but to have others impressed by you is always a nice little compliment no matter what the circumstance...going through life's motions at 100% effort never goes unnoticed.

"suits are made only to be sweated in" - i'm still a novice to the procedure of weddings and their cultural nuances but after the 2nd in 3 months, i'm getting the hang of it....drink drink drink. =)....(an hour into the reception...i called a friend for some backup to drive my car..

"it's go time" - i must dedicate this paragraph to the one who has trully shown me the light as of late...his social prowess has taken a 2nd coming in his life and it's energy has been channeled towards ~goodstoff.  two post wedding carbombs with the poet emily dickenson....and u'd be feeling as giddy as me (fyi: i let the viet drive "bimmer yo...Uhhhh yea..bimmer")

**SABBATH**

the rule of thumb for coming to the bbq haven is more of a rule for the guest - i really just can't let anyone go home without having a good time...correction: can't let you leave without me having fun at your expense....NICE~

menu: 1- ur standard cheeseburger comes only in twins with onions and mushrooms (i'm gonna try a cuban burger next time...)...2- long island corn is sweet as hell...and its almost wrong to grill them...but cuban corn (parmesean and redpepper crusted) and grilled parmesean portobellas...3- i love kiel basa (we even tried deep frying it HAHAHA) 4 - fried catfish(tBS) 5-cornmeal crusted fried oysters (never again it sucks - we've decided to stick with clams 6- shrimp, it was a last minute addition, but awesome 7-homemade nacho's with mango salsa (thanks ekhym)5- fried shrimp 8-shrimp chips (i feel like we're in indonesia here, who's got the durian!)9- wings.......

L.I. RELAY - with drunken dudes on the cusp of "deep frying butter", y'all might ask how do we stay so incredibly fit?hahaha...or better yet...how do you eat so much?  simple wading techniques in the pool will proves to be a great digestive aid (course taught by b. bouzivich)...the problem here is that wading does nothing to combat cooler weather...in which the relay must be put into effect. relay's sequence of events: 2 teams. goggles act as baton and must be passed not thrown.  recipient must have goggle over his head/neck when in action.  [dive into the pool...get out at other side...run to beer...CHUG....run back to other side and hand off goggle] - disclaimer: poolside safety rules have been slightly modified.

the game: request directions and u'll be shown the way. "it's go time"

with FOMC looking to finally raise rates...i'm actually ALL FOR THIS!  if you haven't taken advantage of the low rates and hopped onto the bandwagon of the re-fi economy growth, then honestly, it just sucks for you (not that i have) but with the encouraging employment data for the first half of this year...there is a huge need to stabilize this dollar and push away imports...this, in combination with a more stablizied oil barrel...and hints that it might be at $34 for the years end...we look to a brighter era...unfortunately leading the charge is an intellectually mediocre man....and yes...i would still do greespan....and in my defense, after i acknowledged this truth again over the weekend...a peer of mine chimed in "i would not only do him, i'd bear his children!"

headlines: the jane austen book club ~ thats the title of the book, inspired by bookstore window, written by an arden austen fan...gawd..i want to hit this woman over the head.

Bosu body: absolutely awesome class...using all these secondary muscles i never use...bounce bounce bounce....

HP3: everything in this world has turned into one big fat acronym...felt this movie was awesome..stayed true with the book, casting has proved itself stellar once again...much kudos to the kids for growing into their roles and becoming bonifide stars in their own right...landscape details, score and special effects blended perfectly for rowlings 3rd book...

FOOD: new york city has a way of sucking all the money out of you because of its inherent "need to be cool" and "need to be in" aura....by supplying everything the world's best pots have to offer in a five mile radius on a self-perpetuating biological clock...indulgence has become sustenance....

nyc dinner for 2's have re-created suburban diner specials into celebrity chef concoctions and a complimenting bottle of wine to go with it.  what used to be a meatloaf and potatoes date, is now the accepted $30 dollar burger laced with foigras and truffles...what is even more interesting is that as diners shove the "platinum crusted" entree's in their mouths, simultaneously, they critique the food in relation with other high priced meals they wish to eat.

people want to feel guilt (as that is what society has taught them), but after a few initiation sessions by the red zagat book, people can get used to anything.  the final check for 2 excessive of a benjamin is enough to feed a family of 4 for a month in parts of the world, is nothing but another swipe and sign and if u're lucky a good meal.

Most arguments against fine dining as frivolous, excessive and somehow morally wrong rest on one of two propositions, both of them false. The first is utilitarian, the 2nd dining moral.  I'll focus more on the 2nd because it is more prevalent in the diners head during the course of the meal.

it boils down to this: It is all right to enjoy food, but not too much. It is all right to eat out, but not to spend too much money doing it. There are two moral impulses intertwined here, the ancient prohibition against gluttony and the more modern Puritan objection to indulging pleasure for its own sake. Add to this ethical cocktail a twist of American pragmatism, the belief that money not spent usefully is money wasted. And what can be more useless than several hundred dollars applied to a six-course French meal that lasts four hours?

the moral arguemnt could have held no water if this was a once in a while occurrence but it has become the exact opposite...but this once-in-a-while fine dining excursion has slowly turned into an everyday ordeal...indulging on weekday outs have combined with delivery of "specials"...

Writers block: ugh..this took too long for me to write...blegh~

"Money is a repository of unprocessed emotion, a symbol not only of one's relationship to the world but also of one's relationship to oneself."

Accountability: quite recently, due to the influence of a friend of mine, i've been on this rage of friendship accountability..to take the role of the person who chimes in as a pseudo-parental voice...someone to push aside the jokes and the apathy of recent american generations and really take that post collegiate leap of social responsibility.

(speaking as a recent graduate) - universities purposely cover such a wide demographic that a persons social network includes a disparate circle... focusing more on those close to you that are weaker and less proactive in aspirations...it is truly important for one to take that extra effort and provide some sort of guiding light for those a little off...there is never a time where "there is no point because they won't listen"...i truly believe that one should always try...regardless of percentage of success...

(to care for health and social well being should be a no brainer) - here's an arguement posed and which is why i referenced the quotation above...personal expectations and goals vary due to the nature of different credentials and career paths and state of mind...here, i am focusing on people's state of mind to be content with less than their potential...is it a friends obligation to really talk to them about maybe pushing their limits a bit more?  or because they are happy...you just leave them be happy?  the ability to feel content without meeting full potential when stemming from low personal expectations is something that i feel represents a need to be talked to...

qualifiers: i by no means am preaching for people to become the social snob of the group...'martha stewart-ing' everyone to be prim and proper and delectable (haha..very ironic), but to really go against relationship apathy and maybe take a stand...

Narcissistic Hunger: fine, i'm a tree hugger.  I like posting about current events and definitely want to share my opinions on stuff...so here i go...as the slue of emails with subject line "carbombs galore" flood the inbox, i take a break from social banter to peruse the day's current events and the first thing i see...Two Car Bombs, and Land Mines, Add to Casualties in Iraq ..here on xanga, i have spent my previous entry typing away about the wonders of the irish carbomb while people across the planet are dying cuz of a real carbomb...i type here to share my life cuz i want to be heard?...i want to tell all of you whats going on in my drunken life?...ehh...my personal life is lame to be heard...maybe i feel as though posting of global events is a more noble cause....

Reagan's Death: bush is trying to juxtapose his presidency with that of Reagans?...jeezus...political agenda's are soo manipulatively clever...-- was it in demolition man that they referrenced the "schwarzzaneger library"?  haha..if only he was american born...

Troy: i didn't think it was as bad as everyone said it was...epics made with modern day digital technology always provide the movie with ample emotional force and visual panache <~~i love this word

Mama's: maybe cheap-eats wasn't such a good idea last night.  the alphabet city comfort food hole in the wall was pretty good, its just that all 4 of us came out with that uncomfortable gluttoned groan....

ps...someone needs to wash the sidewalks down there...friggin soo many flies gawddammnit!...nyc's ghetto area's are still ghetto...and its probably a good thing bloombergs kicking the poor off the island and creating a lil bougie niche next to the atlantic...lets put sidewalk cleaning next to the noise reduction bill.

Vinyasa Yoga: male hip flexors are known to be a piece of shit, why?...basically because we don't give birth...which i guess makes it a good thing...but i've been on this overall trend to increase flexibility which hopefully in turn will increase endurance and more importantly prevent quick fatigue...i've been trying to do these ab exercises that invovle some leg lifting and my hip flexors are just getting in the way...more tiring to lift the legs up than crunch...duH!....so now that i've entered the realm of yoga and a nice head massage at the end of class, anyone want to join me and give me pointers?  i think i fucked up on the updog position and my lower back is bit strained...doh~

sunil varghese bends it like beckham.

it seems as though burping up carbombs friday morning has become part of my life's routine...LOVELY~

and in that same stream of drunken-blurred consciousness "SUNIL VARGHESE IS A WUSSIE"

the celebrity chef fad~

as the millenium opened its doors to the idea of cuisine with an renowned author, and foodtv as my number 2 channel viewed (#1 espn), every weekend i give way to sustain my aspirations for homemade iron chef...

i put the deep fryer back to work this weekend but this time to make a shellfish boil!....pool wasn't opened, and the grill is being replaced next week so the butane burner was a great alternative to try something different....bought some oldbay seasoning and added some spices etc...potatoes, corn, lobster, clams, shrimp...dumped it out on newspaper table.....finger foods galore....changed the water pot to the mini OIL pot for some deep fried chicken and tofu....*burp*....since we didn't have one of those fanatic picture takers around there are no pictures of the food....duH~

finished 24 - season 2.

got that flipping "fanta song" intermixed with the latest "g-unit" jam on the radio...*egad*

highlights: frank's face....pictures of those will definitely go up.
