i had lunch at anny's.  went to the gym.  then went to the boat basin.  the cab ride turned into an accident.  and the boat basin turned into arang.  and arang turned into mk.

i ordered a salad.  it was a mound that broke the plane of the bowl equally as high as its depth.  1 part vege 1 part chicken.  tortilla chips, cheese and bbq sauce in btwn.  why even eat sandwich?

"you take so many pictures.  i'm going to buy you a camera"

no. i do not want a camera.  i do not want to carry around more things in my pocket.  and the point of my fotos aren't to pose and look pretty but rather remember the moment as it's happening.  blurry shots are part of the appeal.  HOWEVER, as camera clarity gets more ridiculously clear, i prefer my blackberry camera.  i am in the perfect realm of 3.2 megapixels with flash and auto focus.  clear enough to take good pictures and clear enough to see the pores on your face.  it catches the moment and u grow around it's functionality to get the right usage out of it.  it does the trick and it uploads real time.  happy birthday eric.

i don't know what the real bill was so i can't accurately assess my feelings about this place.  but walking into an alley is kind of cool.  having the room upstairs booked is cool.  having no AC in the room is NOT COOL.  overcooked pork is not cool.  that artichoke dip was good. and that chinese spare rib sauce lamb was gamey and good.  other than that.  patron is always good for a birthday.

my korean colleague calls me mister duk bokki.

and now my colleagues call me lex-ben(zene)

aromatics by day.  pro-wrestler by night.  tassles around steroid and bronzer veined arms.  talking in the 3rd person.  groaning and grunting.  glorious

For those first few WWF years, Savage simply couldn't miss. He picked the best possible manager and feuded with the best possible people. His nickname doubled as the single best wrestling nickname of that decade unless you want to argue for "The Million Dollar Man." His entrance music ("Pomp and Circumstance") was obviously a better choice than the Village People's "Macho Man," but kudos to him for making the right call. He wasn't opposed to wrestling with his sunglasses on (a lost art, really), and his crazy beard/thinning hair/bandanna/sunglasses look shouldn't have worked but always did. His interviews were phenomenally bizarre and undeniably entertaining, and, by the way, he might have been the first wrestler to refer to himself almost entirely in the third person. The Macho Man was like the Rickey Henderson of wrestling, right down to the fact that you never knew what the hell he was talking about.

asian americans have the highest number of college graduates of any ethnic group in america

median household income for asian americans are the highest in the us

asian americans are rising in corporate america faster than any other race

asian americans are the model minority

apahm needs to screen who they choose in terms of script and delivery and perspective.  obviously i didn't stay that long..however..hear me out.

ppl love to hear the sound of their own voice.  and asking a successful and influential model asked to speak unscripted about her life is going to ramble and drone on and on and on.  in the age of paper tigers. asian americans do not need to be inspired by talk of hard work, talk of discipline, talk of luck. asian americans need perspective on risk/reward.  perspective on hard work.  perspective on machismo.  perspective on breaking that bamboo ceiling.

i want to hear new ideas as to how maybe since asians are stocky and have better center of gravity (sumo), maybe they could teach stocky asian boys to become long snappers in the nfl because its one trait that through discipline and precision, they can take over that area of expertise in american athletics and dominate.  i like how koreans have stopped playing tennis where real genetic athleticism is a huge advantage and they've moved to golf where practice supersedes genetics.  i want to hear about how rather than being asian or american, we find a way to break into these niche demographics through our strengths, then solidifying the asian american genre.  maybe talk about corruption.  maybe the ends justifies the means?  maybe sell your soul?  who knows.  just give me perspective other than hard work and discipline.  that'd be much more influential....and inspiring.

so i left. and went to eat jogaetang. ALONE.
