amanda and ivy...

i don't know why, but for some reason certain groups of friends have become not as physically prevalent in my life as they used to be.  this is not a statement that accuses anyone of not being a better friend, nor does it accuse myself of neglect but rather it's a statement of how close people can be without being close...or how far people can be without being far apart.  by now it's a cliched ever shrinking world and technological aids.  regardless...i have friends that are awesome no matter how often i see them.  i have friends that are going to be close and closer no matter what happens.  no explanations...just when you actually see them, it only takes moments to catch up and it only takes seconds for waves of nostalgia to hit  and when i sit here and blog about it, the emo-ness weighs even more.

i have chinese girlfriends.  and chinese girlfriends come to my house.  amanda by train.  ivy by car.  i cooked. we ate.  we drank.  and we took a trip out to the hamptons.  if there's no traffic, if there's a good playlist.  the best part of the trip is the car ride.  with a stop for cigarettes we convinced ivy for the car ride.  hit up a house of sleeping people only to make it back to my house to drink more before drinking even more the next day.

"i want to run" - amanda
"i want to drink" - me

so i filled up my solo cup with whiskey and ran with her.  hahaaha.  then we opened two bottles of champagne by the pool.
