3 hours to cover the entire city

"u wanna take a citibike to chelsea?" - NO.  but i'll bike in philly.  new york is a mess.  i've done it before.  too many people where bike riding is no longer enjoyable.  maneuvering around people, cars, people, more cars.  psychos.  its just too many people, too dense for bike riding, even driving for that matter to be enjoyable.  philly however doesn't have that critical mass that nyc does, and hence the streets seem wider and the bike lanes seem emptier.  everything seems safer, more enjoyable and ergo a better ride wherever you go.  so we biked down the river...watching the penn boats...then biked down through town.  a stop in rittenhouse square for la colombe and then down south st to fork etc for a sandwich and a soup.  a nice ride.  great company.  intuitive navigating and awesome weather.

duck confit cubano sandwich with chilled tomato soup

we found this ice bucket tongs thats curved to form a spoon when closed so it scoops and drains the ice when picked up.  "this is what i would put on my wedding registry"
