"how do you feel about pageants?" - at first i was against it.  took a while for me to see the good in it.  in the end the initial negative connotations are only 12 weeks of your life.  and what you can potentially take away from it is huge.  things that you may never be exposed to.  etiquette class, performing under pressure.  confidence of yourself and security of your demeanor.  exposure.  and it really is just an stepping stone to something bigger.  of course this conversation is always contingent on good support structure and good intentions on reasons for entry.
