gah. my chinese sucks.

this picture has been making my head run in circles.  and it's quite relevant to certain conversations i've been having in english, and now, after some translation, i can learn to be more articulate about it in chinese.  i had to read it a few times and ask a few questions.  then figure out the difference between 感動 v 心動。  then understand 精誠所至金石為開。  and then reflect on this being a naive comment or a very western idea of love.  and then there's the perspective of age and realizing that 精誠所至金石為開 is reality rather than the futility of perfect love.  and this is also very relevant to the comment i made about how i find korean guys that are able to flip the switch after years of being single to say,  "ok i am definitely going to get married next year."  they check the boxes.  adopt a "looks fade" mentality.  and set forth on a very calculated JV procedure.  amazingly secular.
