american food sucks to begin with. so to make good american food is pretty much impossible. which made the 2nd visit to the dutch really bad. not to mention they kicked us out. and beauty and essex was whatevers too. and by the time we made it to 1oak. magnums and ace of spades....
when bone marrow first came onto the scene. it was amazing. blue ribbon was the one that brought it into fame. the late night chef spot featured when food network was still in fetal form. now, along with pork belly, bone marrow is on everyones menu. and it sucks. what used to be the horizontal cut of stubby bone sections where you scoop out the marrow and spread on toasted bread...has now been replaced by the vertical split...which doesn't crisp up and give good flavor for the bone marrow. just NOT GOOD. just fat. gah. complain complain complain.
