last minute everything

i didn't book a car. i didnt book a hotel. but i called a few friends in advance and called the meritage in advance and just waited till i arrived to make a decision. the ride worked out because mikey had room for both janet and i while frank hitched a ride with victor and tiff. brian picked us up for dim sum and mikey took us from there to napa. we ate at a highly rated dim sum joint which was awesome. gps led us to a vineyard on the way to our hotel. and we made a nice stop at in and out for a quick dinner before another wine tasting at night. it all worked out. in hindsight. i know im lucky. cuz i booked the hotel room on the way to napa...on a memorial day weekend. overpriced for a handicapp room with a small window. but hey...last minute bookings no choice.
