i landed in medan at 830. hockseng was sold out! i've never seen medan this crowded before. the temple had so many people. apparently qingming festival is bigger than chinese new year. the traffic was pretty bad because the power went out. and this fish was amazing. bintang...medan. indonesian food made by chinese people is the best. and of course we had to have dinner at selat panjang. buy bolu meranti cakes....then watch my uncle and aunt haggle for antiques....stamps are the new thing....this bebek bihun is quite goood.
