google maps told me we were near the beach.  so i asked around and we went.  coughing.  wheezing.  hungover.  mom and i walked around the pier.  looked smelled and sounded like busan.  chinese folk music sounds like japanese folk music which also sounds like korean folk music.  or TROT.  cuz koreans will never admit its the same thing.

now lets talk about the pojangmacha's around the area...absolutely amazing.  the haemul noodle bokum had so much natural seafood flavor it was more than a few notches superior to it's taipei counterpart.  oysters, clams and cuttlefish were a 1:1 ratio to the noodles.  natural sweetness.  the oyster omelette doesn't use eggs.  and isn't drowning in a pink sauce.  it's just a cornstarch basil slurry connecting the oysters into a pancake.  the fish (on the house) was so flavorful and tender braised in a light stock.  u can't really beat locally grown asparagus...and an additional clam soup isn't too much shellfish....it's light, fresh and washes everything down.

we signed the wall too...
