pre-screened network.

in continuation...dre's made a valid point when we discussed the value of an mba.  he believes that the mba network is worth the 150-250k vested for 2 years.  it's a pre screened field of the next up and comers.  if he were to do it all over again he still wouldn't go, and he is that last generation to be able to get by without an mba.  but today's level playing field, if no mba then cfa.  if neither than ur industry doesn't need it.  regardless, the objective view is that that tuition spent for the network is worth it.  makes sense.  tyra's doing it.  tyra won't fail, tyra will do well and hbs knows the caliber of person tyra brings to the table.  we touched on jayz, he didnt need mba, hes bonified business genius parlaying whatever he does to mainstream mogul empire.  bill gates didn't do it.  the motivated genius that doesn't need it. the chomo's don't need it, cuz it's all pnl and the opportunity cost is far greater to stop working off pnl.  people need confidence, security, job change, women etc, they want to need it and they need to want it.  so yes, the network is worth it.

it's interesting how mba programs are much younger than what they used to be.  29 used to be the age for an mba.  now we're pushing 25-26.  hbs also has that 2 and 2 deferral program.  crap economy floods the mba pool.  simple math.  how do i make money off of it.
