pink taxi's.....

the psyche behind a culture lies in the idiosyncrasies that make it distinct.  in thailand, other than the fact that the female:male ratio seems to be exaggeratedly female dominated, certain male tendencies have me intrigued at the cultures take on gender roles.  the thai language, when spoken by males, seem to immiediately give a meek undertone to them.  hand gestures, cultural greetings, tonal dialects.  the soft spoken male seems to be the staple in all business sectors as to give way to the blatant gregarious lady boy's rampant in the soi's at night.   so in going along this trend, it makes total sense, the color of taxi's in thailand are blue, orange, green yellow as representing the gay rainbow. the most poignant representative of them all, the pink taxi.
