alex4881 = the new christina

the lop's been asking me about montauk for about a month.  "i've never been there, ask dan cho.  he'd probably know better than i"  i find all new england colonial port towns to be the same.  i know there are nuances but as a tourist am i not getting the same lobster roll, the fried clam strips, the mussels and chowder??  are we not enjoying the mansions of the 18th and 19th century tycoons?  is everyone not all wearing khaki's and ralph lauren speaking with a diction that makes me want to go to citarella for lunch.  and being that i just spent a week in the hamptons and a week in newport before that...why spend an extra hour in the car to head to montauk?? i'm kind of brat like that...

and as it turned out, the lop cancelled his trip and ended up having a night at my house catching up over champagne and pasta.  we talked about janet.  and we talked about his impulsive move.  and then we talked about ran and we talked about work. and we talked about his immersion back into society.  "u gotta start drinking again cuz you gotta start dating".  and then we slept and headed out to the hamptons the next day.  he drove. so he picked the music.  lana del ray.

lunch was closed...so we peed on it.  and found spandex at the clam bar.  that was quite nice.  so was the grilled tuna.  the waves at the beach were pretty intense, but we still went swimming.  we went running.  we ate some oatmeal cookies my mom packed for us.  and a seagull spent the dusk staring at us.  the night was capped off with some fish taco's in westhampton where wanda sykes had a performance coming up. odd....
