i didnt even realize it. but i've turned into something like the constant male friend figure in esthers life. i'm proud to be that. my family is proud to be there for someone whom my dad has always called "a very strong woman". and yet through all these years i've only met her dad once. her uncle once. joe twice. salley maybe a handful of times. grandma a few times. housekeeper many times as she didn't like us calling and coming over. as for how close we proclaim ourselves, i just dont know her family that well.
tho that didn't matter as they all knew exactly who i was. i am "ALEX". everyone knows that. tho they only remember me as a teen with bangs and dyed streaks. that probably also didnt bode well for my reputation. (as joe put it, "when asked to vett esther's prom date...he had hair...like my mom) and as i presented myself to the family again at the wedding, i had a much more cleaner cut look, a much more korean look. and much more polished look that korean males seem to like.
the wedding was awesome. tribeca rooftop is an amazing venue. and we had 2 birthdays at our table. im always at the rowdy table. or im the rowdy one making the table rowdy. either way. good food. top shelf open bar. awesome people. that's all u can ask for.
