sleeping on the train

if you're tired if and you didn't sleep enough the night before, why would you grab a coffee to drink on the train?  why wouldn't you use that time to sleep and then grab the coffee after you've gotten off?  why would you want to stay awake on the train anyways?  30min to an hour nap can do wonders, rather than being awake to stare at the seat in front of you on the train.  i don't get it.  and even if you're fully refreshed and wanting to get your day started, i don't get why you would want that energy jolt to be on the train?  chat with the person next to you?  it sounds miserable.  the lirr sounds miserable.  egad!  and the bar cart sounds miserable on the way home.  people really rush to the train to catch the bar cart?  get on the train 20 minutes early to drink an extra 20 min on the bar cart?  i really hope that the bar cart is sponsored by ashleymadison.com.
