hey jenn,
do you remember when i first met you? bbq on victor's rooftop? i think that was the first time i met jessi. i had just come back from asia and we bbqed on victors roof. beef ribs. pork belly, corn etc. the corn had just come off the grill and people were already double fisting beer and ears of corn. the sam gyup sul was sizzling in the background when we realized we had no sesame oil for the pork . i scurried downstairs to find just enough sesame oil left for two bowls of dipping sauce. sesame oil + salt + pepper. glorious. back on the roof, i placed the sesame oil on two chairs for people dangling pork belly off their chopsticks to dip...
there might have been one or two dips in the fresh made changirum before jessie swooped by to dip her corn into the sesame oil. with only the tip of the corn getting surface area of the dipping bowl, she frowned. she then strategically stared at her corn and then smiled. jessi, corn in one hand, punctured the oil with her corn, daggering it against the bottom of the bowl. with her other free hand, she basted her corn with 3 fingers. continually sopping her hand into the brown sesame oil and then slathering it onto the corn. dip, baste, turn corn, dip, baste, turn corn.
i just looked over at victor.
he frowned at me.
i gawked at the corn.
we took a deep breath.
then went to hide the other bowl of sesame oil from jessie.
i look @ these pictures. then look @ my jumps. i told victor, do a campaign of us. all in jumps. just hanging out like we always do. we almost all own jumps already. u have ur dslr. easy peasy. think of all the people we'd appeal to. ghey's. asians. ghey's. food lovers. people who like hoan. college students. guys named dave. victor's high school friends. cty kids. franks ghey colleagues. muscle magazine from hank. dUH! do it lop. fun loving people are contagious. so is that steak. man was it good.
