36 hours of mayhem & single eyelid sex

just got into the office later than normal due to four and a half hours of turbulence this morning.  had a friggin awesome weekend.  can't really say i did much out of the ordinary, but after a whole week of hectic scheduling or moreso hectic CANCELLING (2 missed weddings), i got fed-up and antsy and just booked a last minute flight to taiwan for 36 hours of "go with the flow".  recap:: off the plane at 5 and straight to eros for a haircut.  by 7 i was downing beer and eating korean food @ 明洞間.  by 10.30pm we were screaming @ karaoke.  and apparently by 2am i was losing 400NT to the sausage vendor on the street.  spent saturday morning trying to remember the backend of karaoke and just gave up and went to eat 波記菜餐廳。 took a dump @ breeze 2.  then headed to cartier and dean & deluca @ breeze 1.  then off to eat again @ 秦味館. beers beers then 小宮館。

the food was awesome @ 秦味館.

shan xi; xi an food of china focuses heavily on lamb.  i've taken a huge haitus from lamb the past few years, but this meal definitely brought back those early childhood cravings for that distinct, gamier lamb flavor. fried pork steak delish when wrapped around the oversized flat rice noodles.  the simple egg fried rice had simple flavors that just got your stomach started to feast on the rest of the upcoming dishes.  the beef steak was very tender.  tofu and fish slice dishes were very tasty and accented with chilli and szechuan peppercorns.  lamb skewers were eric's favorite...ended up topping up our first order.  even the sour mustard lamb stir fry tasted amazing even when really full.  great place for groups. go!
