loud sound of restaurant bustle. protag sits quietly at the restaurant. camera only shows his back side. drinks his coffee and flips open his phone. ding. mms picture comes through. photo shows up. slow motion. he drops the phone. it bounces around on the floor. sound goes dead silent. cue ballad. and then the flashback.
the two met at a party. laughter. giggles. point of view from the protagonist. bouncing camera represents laughter. she's the life of the party. pounding shots. making jokes. beating all the boys at rock paper scissors. then looks up. throws the pound over his way. it's love for him. he just leaves her be and watches from afar. party scene ends/ flash towards fun in the park/ fun at home/ fun on the run/ its a perfect match. but then the scene shifts to the airport. he leaves, she waves.
flash to present. she's gone. and nowhere to be found. this was the first time he's had contact with her in a 2 years. he's moved on. he's also found out that she's been married to this white guy that treats her unfairly. she's not happy, she gets abused has no where else to turn. he knows she's crying as her friends have told him so. he knows he'd take her back. she just has to ask. he knows she would eventually come back. he's been too good for her.
the cover and back to the dvd.
so poignant.
