congrats sam and aki

it always amazes me, how strong the west coast asian immigrant family has assimilated into american californian life...sam and aki had a beautiful country club wedding and everyone eloquently enunciated english across all generations.  because right as i walked through the front gates, i was greeted by first the dad....then a few yards later the mom, both reiterating the same thing...in perfect grammatical english...."OH UR MOM IS VERY FAMOUS, WE KNOW HER"

im used to it.  but it does change my behavior for the night.  at least right up until the groom checks the bar tab with one hour remaining and says..."we are 500 dollars short"...and so i had to do my part...

2nd wedding in 4 weeks.  another destination.  LA was a great trip.  good for amanda.  she needed some time to be with close friends and not doing chores.  attending events and having a good time.  she needed the beach, she needed the pool, she needed pseudo australia, peggy, and rene and uni and uni and uni.
