my sister finally got married. i think i've known al since i was a freshman in college. and because it took forever to tie the knot, the family might have been desensitized to the big day. but the bridezilla still wanted her show...her event...and we were all careful not to upstage her. unfortunately for her, that's unnatural. mom may have tried to avoid singing, but her fans were still waiting for her to sing at least one song....mom may have tried to avoid taking the spotlight, but demanding a solo photo shoot before the bride couldn't have been helped. and while making a speech, she couldn't help herself to say..."你要先說點話， 我是壓軸。

，我要向各位來賓的光臨表示最誠摯的歡迎。 相信有很多朋友們從老遠特地過來參加今天的婚禮。謝謝你們。  辛苦你們。  Welcome and thank you for being here on this important day to celebrate the special love between kim and al by joining them in marriage.  We are met together in the presence of their dearest family and friends to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony.  This is indeed a joyful time in which we witness their love joined together….

大家好不好。。。woooot!   Good afternoon everyone.  How is everyone doing today?  Good?  Today is finally kim and Al’s big day...and i, her brother am standing before you as their officiant.  今天非常的榮幸又當哥哥又當證婚人。。更加意義重大因為我只有這一個妹妹。  my sisters getting married, but im still not sure if today is going to be a wedding or if my mom is going to have concert.  the two of you have waited too long for anyone to preach what love is...love is what u define it, and how much patience u have for dealing with my cranky sister.  

作為哥哥，此時此刻，我無比激動，我有千言萬語要對我的妹妹，我的妹夫說：願你們夫妻恩愛

UNION

You have known each other from the first glance of acquaintance to this point of commitment.  at some point, you decided to marry.  from that moment of yes, to this moment of yes, indeed, you have been making commitments in an informal way.  all of those conversations that were held in a car, or over a meal, or during long walks - all those conversations that began with, "when we're married", and continued with "i will" and "you will" and "we will" - all those late night talks that included "someday" and "somehow" and "maybe" - and all those promises that are unspoken matters of the heart.  all these common things, and more, are the real process of a wedding

this process is just a way of saying to one another, "you know all those things we've promised, and hoped, and dreamed - well, i meant it all, every word"

look at one another and remember this moment in time.  before this moment you have been many things to one another - acquaintance, friend, companion, lover, dancing partner, even teacher, for you have learned much from one another these past few years.  shortly you shall say a few words that will take you across a threshold of life, and things between you will never quite be the same.

Al, as a token of your love and of your deep desire to be forever united in heart and soul, you may place the ring on Kim’s finger to seal the vows that you have made to her."
