the king salmon i caught in alaska had eggs...and we froze the eggs with the fish and when u got a professional chef in the mix...we got everyone together six months later and had an ikura party...it just so happened that i got my sister to bring back some of sun kai's canadian UNI for a few chefs to try...and it became an all on feast. UNI/IKURA/TORO....seriously...imagine a japanese sushi bar in your kitchen and u just waddle to the kitchen and steal a spoonful of ikura...then wash it down with the oncoming sushi....go back and take a sip of sake...before the uni bowl comes out....POACHED EGG FOR THE WIN! awesome...
