it felt like a HUGE roadtrip due to the wonderous jakarta traffic where a 2 hour roundtrip affiar turned into 5 hours of cramped legs, blazing sun heat and blasting ac....we went to pay respects at my grandmothers urn yesterday....burning incense, candles, paper money and and paper boxes as gifts for them to take with them in the afterworld....the funny thing that i noticed is that the gift box wrapping paper is a design for buddhist afterlife gift burning and yet stores like urban outfitters use it to make their for sale items....
gado gado is my new favorite food....and had another helping and a half of pisang goreng for lunch...=)
