next week. im going to martha's vineyard for a wedding. the entire planning for this trip has turned into this backwards nightmare for me. flying driving training and ferrying all take 5 hours and all cost a fortune. bed and breakfast accommodations run the same price as a 5 star ritz carlton yet the pictures show a dinky cottage style bed with blue walls and baby room decor. i've been to newport and for the same reasons i dont like the hamptons (regardless of being there last weekend), the appeal of $$ and the trek up to mvy does not seem that exciting. we'll make the best of it. it will be fun because its us and there will be alcohol. that quaint back to the future town of the local pharmacy and oversized pancakes don't work for me. not yet at least. and when u look at all the websites of train station and how to get there, they show pictures of 1970s america and one japanese translation link. and seriously,
"what is the deal with the american obsession with the light house." it's just a tall phallic building that shines lights to direct ships. GAH.

"u live up to the asian stereotype. that picture of me u took at toms bday dinner. its the best picture i've taken in years"
