we live in a world where there is a surgeon general, wellness triangles and nutritional pyramid guidelines. Medical advances have not only been able to prevent death but prolong life. Our ability to better the quality of life has gotten to the point where we're playing the role of the genetic god....amazing isn't it? so then why hasn't anyone started funding the "get rid of the shopping chromosome in the XX"...
after a big buffet and durian dessert we planned to walk around to check out zara and the fair at the thai embassy...we spent about an hour at each place fitting, trying, contemplating, buying and half waiting for my aunt to meet up with us...i think my own personal threshold for shopping is around 2 hours MAX....(for myself and waiting others)...but in singapore the interludes on the street underneath equatorial heat might make that threshold waver...but luckily right when the shirt was almost fully saturated my aunt showed up and we went for the carpark....ahh....for those that know singapore know that it's one big MALL of a country....shops linking it from point a to point b to point c and back again....and everything in btwn...it took us maybe over 3 hours to make it back to the car....walking a total distance of half a kilometer...."mom was looking for a dress....."
rumor has it that i have the same look of agony as dad when u know who shops....
my aunt got pretty bored sitting around too....(although she did find herself a new pair of sandals)
you can definitely tell who's related to who when it comes to both sides of my family....and shayna as of 7 months has a very strong resemblance to my side of the fam.....which makes me think...what part of me resembles which of my parents?....i can't really pick out any family resemblance...other than me looking like kimbo.....
***if you think shayna's chubby arms are super plump....dad just told me that i was even chubbier....**home alone face******
it's always the damn cliche's that are so poignantly irritating and slap you in the face right when you're not wanting to hear it...and fittingly so...aren't these same lines the ones that mom and dad use the most?...the dose of "i told you so's" from them might not affect you like they used to but nowadays it's you telling yourself "i told you so" in the voice of your parents that have you kicking yourself in the face....regardless...as things are being fixed from within (at home)....things on the outward path seem soo much brighter....maybe now i'll be able to sleep better...maybe now i'll be able to eat better =))...actually i'm hoping i'll just work out better....hehehe...treadmill here i come!

durian dessert?
it's weird. we're close friends and of all the stuff you write on xanga about all these introverted issues you seem to be having, i've never once had any idea what it is that is vexing you like that?
do you make everyone pose with that peace sign??
HM... I think when I'm an ajuma I'll be over the joy of consumerism. Live in a beach village somewhere remembering the prada bags of yore. I have to go shopping today for sensible shoes and trousers and I'm packing the ipod to numb the experience. Having antiestablishment rock adn hopeful electronica pop in the head makes teh j.crew experience less sad. your pics remind me of when my dad took me shopping as a kid. used to sit in the car with comic books/anime while I had to scour the mall on a $100 budget for an entire wardrobe. Put urcahses behind the counter. WAlk my dad into the mall again and wait for the blessing of his credit card... yours is a good sport.
you're alive?! sweet.
80 TIMES...U PROMISE?? I'M GOING TO TAKE ONE..AND I BETTER SEE IT 80 TIMES....WHOOO HOOOOO
