Haven been posting too much as of late, why? Cuz for the past week Ie been severely mother fng hungover like a biznitch mom and a half?gawd?brain works at 80% capacity @ max?but because I either doing nothing or close to it say I run the neurons at 2% workload?really, a painful experience but oh so joyful as I look back in retrospect....
last night:
It seems as though all shows I attend may be portrayed as this riveting and mesmerizing event. It is. I let it be. Live shows are just flat out awesome. Redundant of previous post-concert blogs, my urge to write of being inspired has become instinctual. But this blog has succumbed past the post-concert 12-hour window, allowing the impulse to be cornered and ridiculed. What is it about me posting of musical inspiration? Being in awe of people on stage performing ood?songs? And to repeatedly feel moved after these ticketmaster events?
Honestly, I give myself 2 thumbs down. What a Lame-O. To be inspired is to actually do something about that aspect of oneself. Il go home and toy around with the geetar only to pass out and post about it the next day like Ie really taken leaps forward. The songwriting has gone nowhere, in fact the musical output has dwindled to usage only for shits and giggles (la bamba was the most recent song I played). Instead of pushing for deeper personal meaning at shows, Il just stick with face value commentary.
Tshirt Mania ?I am the tshirt man. Sometime last year, I had an epiphany about buying tshirts at concerts. A MUST DO. Buying the t-shirt before the show starts is the way to go, avoiding the crowd at the endlthough, if it a band that you haven heard live yet and they suckhen u won feel so hot about buying the t-shirt after the show?ex. Saves the Day. Needless to say, last night I bought my tshirt before the show and the show rocked.
Glen Phillips ?lead singer of toad ?put on a great opening act. One man with a guitar, a voice like Garth Brooks, and his songs tell stories like Granddaddy, songs sound like ?ugh can think of any comparison. Windmills, drive by?GO DOWNLOAD! When these grungy fella are on stage I just thinking what it be like to be a 24 hour musician, being able to churn out tunes at every instancees I jealous.
Five for Fighting ?always a reason the main act is the main act. A good opening act, but an awesome headliner. The lead singer, john somethingis talent is so enviously evident as soon as he lets that first line out. He got this voice that just resonates through the whole room. Kind of like when he opens his mouthomething from within his body just lets this glow of light out of his mouth radiating the hall?not only that, he sings-plays guitar-piano completely effortlessly. Timberlake falsetta got nothing on him. If only Irving had a grand piano...the acoustics would have been awesome...he played superman alone...toite. I definitely go see him again. (clara ?he talks between songs, ALL YOU)
**I can get 2 songs out of my head**
1)
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit lonely and you're never coming round
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit terrified and then I see Foookin' the look in your eyes
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and then I fall apart
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and then I fall apart
And I Foookin'need you now tonight
...I Foookin' need you more than ever!!

OMG Will, Vic, Frank and Hoan would not stop singing that the other night. But I have to admit that song is the funniest part of the movie.
hahaha sucks that i have to agree with you on this one... this book does suck pretty damn bad but i don't have other books to read at home 'cept politics.

"i feel tired....." - the tranquilizer scene...hahaha
song #1 is good. You should call people up in the middle of the night and sing it to them while in a drunken stupor... especially if they have a final to take the next day
and as for the beanbag... try www.lovesac.com otherwise just ebay it... it'll cost you about 2 bills tho
