been in a huge rut for many reasons lately...and not much to type about 'cept to re-evaluate the person i am or that which i've become...just have no control of anything right now and ugh...big fat rut...these past 2 months has been up in the air...this weekend is a complete blur...next week is an uncertainty and BLAH!...only thing that keeps me happy is puppy.
big fat rut is always good for big fat drinking or big fat reading...i'll do both later...im thinking its time to re-read some rainer maria.

dwayne wade. i will lecture you in person but basically, the nba is not built on flash. if it were, rafer alston would be the best player ever. plus, with my actually experience PLAYING the game, i've realized that despite being able to put points on the board, that i'm definitely NOT as good as someone who can rebound and block a few shots. flash means nothing if you don't got fundamentals. there's tons of scorers in the league...not enough role players...ala mark madsen style.
bah. basketball is blah. i still think about that time we were in philly and KG threw his shoe at us. if only we had picked it up. i bet it smelled like shit, though...but at least it would smell like shit...in my room.

No. You're wrong. I admire Jordan for what he is too. But there have been players LIKE jordan before and there will be others. But if you look at every team that's ever won a championship, it was won the backs of the role players that did the stuff that doesn't show up in stat books. I'm dead serious about this too.
The bulls had scottie but they also had Horace Grant. Duncan had...sad to say...D-ROB who was never better than an over-extended role-player. Shaq/Kobe have...Rick Fox (sad, isn't it?). Uhm...How about Horry on the Rockets? Charles Oakley on the knicks? The Davis brothers on the Pacers?
If i'm putting the last guy on the floor and it could be Mark Madsen or Maurice Taylor...I choose Mark Madsen. One on one...maurice would destroy...just about 3 out 4 PFs in the league anyway...but it's the COMPLETE game and the fact that it's a 5 on 5 contest.
I stand by what I say. Scottie Pippen is/was the greatest player of all time for the very reasons I have mentioned above.
