my chinese is getting better. i'm rarely at a lack of words but when i first came to asia, i found a lot of trouble to convey my sense of humor fully in chinese. useless banter, sarcastic jokes, vulgar and profane anecdotes, embarrassing other people etc...3 years later and under the wing of JJ, i've gotten much better at not only conveying triviality but also coaxing waitresses, bar tenders, bar owners for free beer and phone numbers HAHAHA.
