due to all this traveling, i haven't had time to celebrate the golden harvest thanksgiving...and so on this 27th of september, exhausted but still going through the motions of gulping the whiskey, i decided to pass on nuoc mam for the 8th meal in a row and properly pay homage to the motherland and go korean. i seriously ate 3 plates of kimchi before the gogi came out. i've been told that due to my cultural confusion, instead of running on "wa tan levels" (runny egg) of allegorical gastronomic cravings, i instead am driven by "kimchi levels" of backhanded temper. - this theory coined by disco. have no doubt that i ate enough to fulfill every korean craving (minus one) for the week....i'll probably go for some neng myun in jakarta next week. the korean there is awesome.
the business model koreans live by, i find completely interesting to say the least. "let's fully leverage ourselves for our business. let's leverage our money, our families, and our family jewels." their generally aggressive approach to attacking the developing nations come close to rivaling the japanese (i don't think anyone can really compete with the japanese, a complete alternate mindset of principles that throw them ingeniously ahead of the curve, without being on the curve. does that make any sense? "give us natural resources and we'll give u precision engineering") my reason for making this observation about kim jong il neighbors is based on two things. i've noticed that many korean emigrated families fully leverage themselves in their business where there living situation continues to be 'rented'. the second is the aforementioned, the blatant korean presence in developing nations, easiest to gauge by the quality of their cuisine in these places. jakarta, vietnam, slums of china, cambodia, - pretty tasty korean food.
if only they did business with non koreans with a lil b-ethics...got dicked by a gook today. that's 2x in 2 months. mothereffers......
