"thursday.  postponed my flight"

"ok.  let's go to the magazine event."

and so we got dressed up and went to the milk magazine party.  where 林宥嘉，the jeannie look alike got some award.  really does look like jeannie.  大嘴巴 was there.  neo studio event space is pretty cool.  but being that it was my first day back in taiwan, there was a distinct style shock that hit me.  part weather related, but the casual look versus the banana republic korean style look is quite drastic.  regardless, we had a beer and then we met up with larry.  and then we met up with larry's dad.  at a piano bar.  

"omg, i'm dressed up tonight.  i blend in with one of those working girls"

"YOLO is now a verb.  YOLO-ING"  you only live once - ing.

this was the first night i discovered that me, the abc, living in korea is quite the angle to startup a conversation with people, especially when it comes to women and flirting.  korean hallyu does well for me.  regardless of the fact that they already think i look korean.  they always ask how i ended up there.  how they feel about korea.  how they feel about plastic surgery even though they too have had it done.  how is my experience in korea.  and all the while that they are interested in my life in korea, i am interested in how close they are sitting next to me.  kkkk.  we only had some small talk with larry's dads friends but they left early and we still had the girls with us. steve came late, got hammered and we went to eat 林東方。

the table next to us were japanese.  we were drunk so i took a lot of small plates that they were confused about what it was.  steve got real friendly and chatted up a storm with them and i offered them some food.  they obviously reciprocated and we drank more beer.  this was all to louisa's dislike being that she has severe OCD.  which makes it all the funnier that steve passed out on louisa's couch.  with the pillow jammed between his legs.  hahahahahha....
